Frequently asked questions
Why are popular summaries free?
A video transcript or article text does not change over time. Once any user generates a summary for a public page, serving it again uses cached results and requires no extra LLM tokens. That means it costs nothing and does not count against your free daily quota.
What counts toward the 2 daily summaries?
Only brand new summaries of content that nobody on Magpie has summarized before. Browsing or re-reading cached summaries is completely free and unlimited.
What happens to what I read?
Summaries of public videos and articles are shared to keep costs down. Private pages, internal documents, and anything behind authentication are never shared or indexed. See our Privacy Policy for full technical details.
How do refunds and cancellations work?
You can cancel your subscription at any time with a single click from your account dashboard. You will retain access until the end of your billing cycle. If you are unsatisfied, email hello@readmagpie.com for a prompt refund.
